Kavi Surinder Sharma Sunil Jogi witnessed in Delhi mesmerizing audience by their hilarious verses!
The well-known Kavis Shri Surinder Sharma & Sunil Jogi was recently witnessed in Nation’s Capital, on the special event of “Laugh with a different genre / Stand up with a difference “Komedy & Kavis”. Presented by Miran Productions, it was an evening full of fun, laughter, poetry & satire. The one hour hilarious show took place at India Habitat Centre, Loadhi Road.
Well, India’s renowned Kavis as they took on various issues like marriage, politics, social media etc in their own wacky, comical way. Surinder Sharma and Sunil Jogi mesmerized everyone out there & took the house down with their hilarious verses! Produced by Sujata Soni Bali, founder of Miran Productions, a leading event management company. Sujata has produced and directed the theatrical production-“Re Visiting the epics”, “Once Upon A Time” besides several features, shows and documentaries for television and stage.
Revealing about the Kavis, Surinder Sharma is well known for comic sketches of himself and his wife. He is famous for his" chaar lainaa suna rayo hoon" and the poker faced alter ago, which he uses while performing. He originally belongs to Haryana and has made a very good contribution to Haryanvi comic poetry. He sometimes uses the Marwari language for his humour as well. He is one of the first few poets of Hasya Ras (Comic and Satiric Poetry). He has established the tradition of Hasya-Ras among Kavi sammelan industry. Sharma was honored by the Government of India, in 2013, with the fourth highest Indian civilian award of Padma Shri.
Whereas, Sunil Jogi also a Padma Shree, is an author and poet famous for his comic verses. He is well known for his distinctive style of narration .He says his comic pieces in short and sweet manner but with a punch. Sunil Jogi is the chairman of Hindustani Academy, a post holding the rank of a Minister of State in the Government of Uttar Pradesh. He is the author of over 75 books. Jogi was honored by the Government of India in 2015 with Padma Shri, the fourth highest Indian civilian award.
