An Exclusive Job Fair Beauty Wellness Professional

New Delhi: Beauty & Wellness Sector skill council, organised the 2nd exclusive Job fair for the beauty and wellness professional in Delhi coinciding with the Aajeevika and Kaushal divas on 5th May 2018.  Trained and certified Beauty Professionals, Hair Stylists, Makeup Artists, Yoga and Fitness professional, Nail Technicians & Spa Therapists participated in the job fair. The Jobfair was inaugurated by  Secretary NDMC Rashmi Singh, Abhay Jain , Director NDMC and eminent members of the Beauty & Wellness Industry like Dr Blossom Kochhar. Sangeeta Chauhan, Gurpreet Seble to name a few.

More than 30 employers like VLCC, Lakme, Color Bar, Talwarkar, Naturals, Urban Clap and Air- borne and international Cruise Liner are a part of this Job Fair.  This is the 2nd exclusive Job Fair organised from Beauty & Wellness Sector Skill Council in Delhi. After the huge success of the last job fair in October last year, this job fair was organised keeping in mind the demand from both the employers and students.

2nd Job Fair, was visited by more than 2500 Candidates appearing to give Job Interview out of which 70% are short listed for further process.

Speaking on the occasion Vandana Luthra, chairperson Beauty & wellness Sector Skill Council said “"It is our earnest endeavour to ensure skilling to our young and deserving talent of the country and this job fair is just the perfect culmination to all our efforts. I am so happy to see the industry rally together to provide ample employment opportunities to the youth. The Beauty & Wellness Sector Skill Council aims to make this first of its kind job fair the right platform to match talent to demand. With the success of this event, we hope to increase the frequency of these fairs to help in placements of our pass-outs.”

NDMC Secretary, Rashmi Singh - at the event said, this event is bridging the gap between Demand and Supply of employment in beauty and wellness sector and today after seeing the turnout I am sure, they will successfully get placed many deserving candidates. The management has shaped so beautifully that all the leading names in this trade is here for every deserving candidates and I am requesting you to grab this opportunity fully and I extend all my best wishes and i hope that we will have some amazing collaboration in the future ahead for the benefit of women technical institute and under skill development initiatives with NDMC.

Dr. Seth from Punjab Technical university, said on we are looking collaborate with the sector skill council to start mainstream courses in beauty and wellness sector in association with B&WSSC in Punjab We want to include it as the main stream studies, we will start it in a pyramid structure as 1 year diploma and 2 year advance studies and 3 year degree.

Two financial institution Edu Vanz&, MuthootMicro finance were a part of this job fair to provide candidates the loans to start as an entrepreneur. The beauty & wellness has huge opportunity for entrepreneurship and this will be the right platform to make the candidates aware of the opportunity available.

B&WSSC has been conducting job fair pan , till date the council has conducted job fairs in Delhi, Jharkhand, Mumbai, Guwahati, Bangalore and Chandigarh. Coming Job fairs are  25th May in Jaipur, 1st June in Lucknow , also in Gurgaon on 13th August, Koklatta 11th September. Pune 4thOctober, Hyderbad 30TH October, Chennai 14th December.

North region being a potentially significant contributor in producing skill and trained personnel can bridge the huge demand supply gap of trained personnel in beauty & wellness domain. This recruitment event can prove to be a remarkable platform to make the right candidate reach the right employers and vice –a – versa.

B&WSSC is not for profit organization promoted by CII with financial support from NSDC, under the aegis of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreurship. The aim is to establish an effective and efficient eco-system for development and imparting of skills in Beauty and Wellness industry including content & curriculum, courses, information databases, delivery systems, standardization of the accreditation and certification process to enhance employability of the Indian workforce globally.
